Site: Household waste sorting and transfer center

  • The center receives selective collections from 16 municipalities.
  • Operating capacity: 55,000 tons/year
  • Throughput: 1,500 tons/day with 2 loading bays (4 doors)

Odor treatment installed:

  • Treatment of the household waste recovery tunnel
  • Odor control by low-pressure spraying of household waste from dumpsters before covering and leaving the site, 60 trucks/day.
  • An infrared sensor is installed to automatically trigger spraying as each truck passes.
  • Odor neutralizing reagent used: AIRHITONE SD P

The purpose of this treatment is to create a thin surface layer on the waste in order to control odors during the transport of household waste.

  • Treatment of the truck exit door
  • Air treatment using the dry-steam technique: 1 VS200 P cabinet (1 nozzle) equipped with a 6,700 m³/h fan to treat the truck exit door
  • Odor neutralizing reagent used: AIRHITONE AP5 P VS
  • Treatment of the 2 loading bays (4 doors) + household waste storage area:
  • Air treatment using the dry-steam technique: 2 VS200 P cabinets (2 nozzles) equipped with 4 fans at 6,700 m³/h to treat the 4 doors of the waste reception building.

Odor neutralizing reagent used: AIRHITONE AP5 P VS

The purpose of these two treatments is to neutralise odors in the air before the dispersion phases (opening of doors).
