Client: Incineration plant in Paris region (Ile-de-France)
Year: 2024
Site: This waste-to-energy plant processes nearly 600,000 tonnes of non-recyclable household waste per year. This corresponds to the amount of residual waste produced by 1.45 million inhabitants, or 17 municipalities in the Paris region.
The heat generated from waste combustion (57,300 MWh) is used to provide heating for the equivalent of 108,500 homes.
Odor treatment implemented:
To address odor nuisances from various sources, we implemented 2 treatment systems:
Installation of a VS200 P dry-steam cabinet (2 nozzles) equipped with two 6,700 m³/h fans to treat odors escaping from the waste pit. Each nozzle/fan unit is directed toward the household waste pit to neutralize odors at the source (the pit) before dispersion (to the neighborhood). Our odor neutralizing agent is vaporized at a very low flow rate (approximately 50 ml/h) in gas form.
This treatment ensures continuous saturation of the air volume, allowing for permanent odor control.
Two U600 spraying systems were installed to suppress odors coming from the waste reception pit. The 10 spray heads are distributed across all receiving bays, neutralizing the odors emitted when waste is unloaded and stored in the pit.
