  • 29 000 tons of waste per year

Storage of non-hazardous waste raises important technical issues such as leachate leaks, biogas emissions and diffusion of unpleasant odors. WESTRAND INTERNATIONAL daily operates Non-Hazardous Waste Storage Facilities of class II in order to provide control of odor nuisance. The solutions we suggest to our customers are diverse and adapted to their needs.
At the end of 2021, we set up an odor treatment in a non-hazardous waste landfill in the New Aquitaine region.
Installation of a high pressure stainless steel ramp of 260 meters. The spray nozzles are made of stainless steel and are 1.5 meters apart.
High-pressure spraying of a low-concentration odor neutralizer on part of the perimeter of the operating cell ensures deodorization at the source (pit) before any dispersion phase (residents).
The engineering systems are controlled by a weather station and allow waste odors to be reduced only when the winds are unfavorable for nearby residents.
This automatic control provides the customer with an optimized reagent consumption.
The installation can also be operated according to predefined time slots.
