Site: WWTP sludge storage platform in the Hauts-de-France region
The storage and handling of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) sludge generates strong, persistent odors that can cause significant odor nuisance for neighboring areas. Controlling these odor emissions is a major challenge in neutralizing sludge odors, reducing the site’s odor impact, and complying with environmental requirements.
Odor treatment is provided by dry steam air treatment technology, which is particularly well suited to wastewater treatment and sewage sludge storage sites. The solution is based on the controlled diffusion of an odor neutralizer made from pure essential oils, without water.
The installation includes:
A weather station allows the odor treatment to be adapted according to prevailing winds, disruptive winds directed towards local residents, and windless conditions.
