Non-hazardous waste landfill (ISDND) in the Normandy region, France

Year: 2026

Site: Non-hazardous waste landfill (ISDND) in the Normandy region, France

This non-hazardous waste landfill (ISDND) is dedicated to the reception and disposal of household waste, with an authorized capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes per year.

As part of the extension of the site’s operations through 2030, new landfill cells are being brought into service.

To treat waste odors and limit odor nuisance, we deployed a dry-steam odor neutralization solution. Two 60-meter diffusion lines release an odor-neutralizing agent at a low flow rate, creating an anti-odor barrier between the landfill cells and nearby residents.

The system thus helps control odor emissions and limit their spread towards neighboring villages.
